The Order of Myths focuses on the 'home of American Mardi Gras'--Mobile, AL. The segregation of present-day carnivals and the roots the practice comes from is highlighted in this award-winning documentary. We wil view this documentary during our carnival season. This novel is Ms. King's second favorite! It is the story of Melinda Sordino, a young girl who has a traumatic experience before she begins the 9th grade. This novel highlights the importance of using your voice and overcoming the problems that life can bring. We will watch this film once we finish reading the novel.
